This comforting tea combines the rich, spicy flavors of cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and cardamom with the earthy sweetness of astragalus, creating a flavorful and health-enhancing drink. Known for its adaptogenic properties, astragalus helps support the body’s immune system, making this chai the perfect pick-me-up for chilly days or when you need a little extra wellness boost.

Ingredients:

20-30 grams astragalus root approximately 15 to 20 small slices
1 TBSP dried orange peel
2 teaspoons Organic Ginger* minced
1/2 TBSP Organic Cinnamon*
1/2 tsp Tellicherry Extra Bold Peppercorns*, black whole
2 Organic Cardamom*, green pods
2 Organic Cloves* whole

Instructions:

STOVE TOP METHOD
1. In a medium sized pot, cover all ingredients with 2½ cups of water.
2. Bring to a boil. Then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Strain and serve with milk and honey (if desired).
4. Drink within 2 days.

SLOW COOKER METHOD
1. In a slow cooker, cover all ingredients with 2½ cups of water.
2. Cook on low, overnight.
3. In the morning, if the water level looks low, add more water.
4. Strain and serve with milk and honey (if desired).
5. Drink within 2 days.
